Exhaust corrosion???

I am going to add a 4" exhaust to my truck and wanted everyone's opinion about what type of material to buy. Stainless is ideal but is it really necessary? Considering I live in the south and we rarely have salt on our roads I don't think environmental issues are of big concern. What about exhaust condensation? Will the four inch exhaust heat up enough to keep the condensation to a minimum? And finally, which comes stock stainless or aluminized? These will help me choose the right material.

stainless...then you never have to worry about weather you made the right choice or not.

Spend the extra money and purchase a stainless system. Look for 409 stainless, mandrel bent system. Stainless will also retain its form with the expansion and contraction of the exhaust. Alluminized will not.

Definitely go Stainless - it's worth it in the long run. If you would have to replace the aluminized one - you'd have paid for a stainless the first time!
