[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Feb-02 AT 01:49 AM (EST)]I am transferring to Alaska from California and want to get a camper shell to keep gear out of the rain of southeast Alaska. From the trucks that I have seen the cab hi models that make the truck look like a big SUV are more appealing than the kind that stick above the cab. But my problem is that I have several dirt bikes that I would like to carry without using a trailer. So I'm trying to decide between a cab hi model or the Leer 122 model which is the tallest model that I have found thus far. The Leer website has the model 122 with a door opening of 45" and interior at 49".
So do I
a. Forget a camper shell
b. Get a cab hi because it looks better and get a trailer
c. Get an uglier but more Tall practical top?
Also, anyone have one of those Bedrugs?? I figured if I do get a camper shell and sleep in it, a bedrug would be more comfortable.
Any advice would be good, thanks.
My truck is a 2001 F250 SD Lariat, CC, 4x4, LB, white/tan
