odd idea for tow bar...

Sorry im writing so much tonight, ive had this idea in my head for a while now and want to get it out
Ok, as opposed to having a regular tow bar on the front of a car (for being towed behind a motor home or truck) how about a towbar that can be controled from inside the vehicle to be towed.
eg.
Car to be towed can drive up behind towing vehicle on the road(truck, motor home etc) and carefuly control, lower and latch the tow bar on towing vehicles ball hitch. Presto, tow on the go!

Yea, i know its not practical, but what yall think?

It's definitely doable. You could plumb in some hydraulics, with electronic controllers. The only thing you'd have to be careful of is lining up the towed vehicle perfectly.

Why go to all that work when you could just magnetize the front bumper.

They use a rig like that for repo work in some places.

Tow rig backs up, and bars fold out under the wheels, lifts the car and they are away... something like 15 seconds.
