Power door locks

Has anyone ever used after market door lock actuators. The ones you find in the "help" section, to be specific. They are for fords, look exact, come with the plastic mount.
Opinions appreciated

I got one on eBay for $49, it works great and fit exactly. I always cut the cr@p out of my forearms when doing this job, Ford installed these things like they expected them to last forever (probably by the same guy who couldn't figure out how to make an oil pan removable in a large truck without pulling the engine).

BTW - I don't use the pastic mount, I am too cheap to buy an extra large rivet gun to put the new one in after drilling out the old one.

Yeah, it's a PITA to replace something that you can't see, but I've done it twice now and the job took about 1/2 hour each time.

thanks for the input. I know what you mean about the plastic mounts, my originals broke so I fabed some out 3/16 thick aluminum bent, drilled and notched like originals got some rubber gromets from the depot works good. i'm looking at new motors cuz the boots took a cr@p a while back and they filled with water. so having two college tuitions to pay, I used a tubing cutter and cut about 3/4 in. from bottom of the motor cleaned the insides real good reassembled and tig welded the halves back together worked for 5 years so no complaints but I think it's time to change them out.

I had to replace my boneyard one because the boot broke, actually it worked fine in warm weather but was noisy in cold weather due to lack of grease so I replaced it.
