T case/tranny help!
I have a problem with my tcase! I pick up a 75 ford with a 205 and a np435. When i let off the clutch every once on a while a get a squeal. Its not always there ,sometimes when i dont use the clutch. The other problem is the front drive output shaft bearing retainer poped out while wheeling. There was a small leak before it poped out. Why would this pop out? I also lost my 4wd and i think that if i drop a new one in and needel bearing my problem should be fixed. I think when the retainer popped out the shift rail didnt engage the front drive shaft. Or is the retainer a bigger problem! When the retainer popped out there was no grinding sound. So then ,i popped out the housing that holds the retainer and the gears look good. Also i can spin the front drive shaft but the gear wont turn! But i was told the shift rail needs the reatiner and bearing to line up and engage?
