Odd oil pressure question.

my guess...
......is you have a "normal" gauge in a pre-93 van. Maybe it sat 'til -93 before sold.
Anyway; a'colorado taught me to check the conection to the oil-pressure-unit if the reading tends to be low. Back or engine, passenger side, one-wire connector easily accessible from inside van, through firewall cover.
Mine used to read real low, even triggered a "engine" red warning light. Made a better connection and it helped.
If you're running synthetic oil you might also get a slightly lower reading.
Good luck

i have 90 3.0
my oil pressure runs about 3/4 or the letter m when cold and dropps down slightly when engine is warm up. sounds to me that yours is too low. it could just be the guage or you could have worn main bearing and loosing oil pressure. this would happen if you have lots of miles on motor. iam also running synthetic oil.
