88 stereo wire

i posted this in the electrical forum before, and i was told to goto installdr.com, this site was great, but didnt tell me the power, ground, or ACC wires, just speaker wire colors. does anyone know what colors are what?

i would just get the wiring harness adapter. they are only like $10 and are well worth it. i'm assuming you already have the speakers hooked up. the ground is black. to find the memory/battery, with the ignition off hold the negative lead of a multimeter to the negative wire and then touch the postive end to the remaining wires. the one that shows voltage is the battery. now turn the ignition on and touch the remaining wires and the one that shows power is the ignition.

Hi. Do you know what a wiring harness is? If you haven't already finished, you may want to check into it.

It makes it soooo much easier. These are becoming so widely available that even AutoZone and O'Reilley have them.

yeah, i used one on my car, but im cheap and wanted to do it myself, but this is a complete pain...ill be buying a harness very soon, haha
