Sorry I'm not that familiar with all these engines Scroob. Did they all come with the same carb? Reason I'm asking on here is that I don't have any to compare and an extensive search of the web didn't bring me the info I needed.
I also thought that some of the engine differences may have been upward protrusions or hardware that might have caused housing differences that prevented interchange outside the parameter of throat diameter.
All Ford V-8 engines in the modern era used either an Autolite or Holley carb. They all have the same throat diameter, regardless of whether they were 2 or 4V.
You have to go back to the 50s to find them using anything different, like a Carter.
Now that's good to know! Thanks Scroob. I'm also measuring my Edelbrock's throat today and commiting it to memory so I have at least "that" knowledge in my head. :-)
Update, I found a guy who has a long snorkel 460 unit by questioning sellers on EBay. Should be in a brown truck somewhere in the US by Monday. Whooopeeee
