a GEAR DRIVE is a gear set up that replaces your timing chain. There are a few different manufactures. One brand: Pete Jackson is made two ways, one noisy, one quiet. The noisy one gives you that "blower" type whine, sorta. In my opinion it is obnoxious and nothing like my blower on my car. But that's me.
Take a look in a Summit catalog or Jegs. They will have a picture of the product. Nothing really to it. The big hype is it is MORE accurate at keeping things in time becuase it does not stretch like a chain. Well maybe, but not worth it in my book. They do have a tendency to BREAK also and make a mess of things. Not the norm, but I think I have seen more gears break then chains.
