speedometer cable
Does anyone know the NAPA part # for the speedometer cable for a '68 2wd with 3speed manual tranny? I ordered one from NAPA but when it got hear it wasn't even close. It had a metal tube like thing instead of the short round end that attaches to the speedometer gear. They say there is only one cable listed for all manual trannys but I think someone just order the wrong number.

Manual tranny cables slip in and are retained by a clip/bolt. Automatics screw on(just like up at the speedometer).

Sounds like you got an Auto cable.

That's what I tried to tell the lady at NAPA but she kept saying that that was the right number.
