speedo calibration

Here's a question for all of you in the know. I had my speedo recalibrated when I had 295's put on my 02 F-350. I am wondering if this is programmed for good into the computer or if it can be inadvertantly cleared in some way like disconnecting the battery for a week.

Thanks.

knowing quite a bit about electronics I'll have to say the computer would use non-volatile memory storage. Meaning no matter how long the computer didn't have power it will remember it's program. The best way to measure your speedo is making nice nice with a local law enforcement specialist. They're often more than happy to oblige. Did you have your dealer do the calibration or was it the tire dealer? -Jaseun

Thanks for the reply. I assumed it would not be cleared but you never know. I had the dealer do the recal. They said they do a bunch of these for the trucks used by the railroad. I thought it was going to be a problem after hearing some of the other's experiences with their dealers but it went off without a hitch.
