What do grills go for?

I was wondering what the going price was for a chrome 67/68 grill? It is absolutely immaculate and has the red "Ranger" script badge in the middle. Has both headlight buckets and t/s buckets with wire tails, and both headlight bezels. I'm looking at it, but want to know what kind of price to talk to the guy about.

Tell me where it is and I'll talk to the guy for you.

Just kidding. I have seen them go from a little over $100 (supposedly OK condition) to $840 for one (NOS) on eBay a few months ago, and everything in between. They are very hard to find in good condition. But there's still a chance of getting one fairly cheap if you're lucky. It's not a chance you will get very often however. You may not see another one for a long time at any price, especially a real nice one.

I bought a nice one last year for 35$ less headlight doors. Got lucky. Saw a painted steel grille in fair condition at the swapmeet awhile back for 50$ less headlight doors fwiw. Ron

I saw a nice used on go for $160 on ebay the same time that NOS one was on there. It looked real straight, but was just the grille with none of the headlight stuff. Add to that at least $50 in shipping and it cost the guy over $200. So if you really need the thing and have the money that would be a starting point. Anything less would be a bargain IMO.

I decided to pass on it since i don't really need it(famous last words), but if this thing was polished up and stuck in a box it would pass for NOS.

Make him a low-ball offer, and list it here at FTE Classifieds.

C'mon, help a brother out. Those are hard to find.
