There's a tanker company here in New Jersey that had a huge fleet of brand spanking new 1960 F-1100 "Super Duty" Custom Cabs. I'd hate to think that they've all been crushed.
Some of the pictures in this link reminded me of something I have wondered about for some time. I have seen several Mercury trucks while traveling in Canada, but have never seen any down here in the States. Could someone please enlighten me as to why FMC would have built & sold trucks under the Mercury name in Canada but not in the U.S.?
Perhaps this has been addressed elsewhere, but I have just missed it.

I remember reading somewhere that it had to do with marketing, and the pre-signing of a trade agreement between Canada and the U.S.

Sounds like a great project. How far along are you?
I havent helped on it in a while
but its got a new model chassis, new rearends, new motor etc... the old cab/hood/fenders etc have been sandblasted and primered
