how come every time i try to look at a post or ask a question, it says i am not loged in and have to do it all over again, what am i doing wrong?? if i go to the forum after this post i will have to log in all over again. is that how this site works?? i am lost. i am not clossing internet explorer either??
Welcome Chantilly L! The problem with your browser is first of all, Internet Explorer is the most gawdawful security hole, and it's way behind other browsers in user-friendly features. Get Mozilla, mozilla.org. It's free, it's faster, it's not riddled with security holes, and it has really nice cookie and password management tools, and lets you block popup ads, which are inventions of the devil.
Meanwhile, that is a cookie problem you are experiencing. Make sure you are allowing all damned cookies from everything, close and re-open IE, and it will work. It's been awhile since I used IE, somewhere you can empty your cache and delete all cookies and start over.
Since you're a computer noob, I encourage you to take some classes, or bribe knowledgeable friends to teach you stuff. The Internet is not safe for the unwary, you have to know how to protect yourself. Windows machines are especially vulnerable. Home users on cable and DSL are huge sources of contagion, and they don't even know it.
