Correct Sealant?

Wanted to ask, what is the best sealant to use for a water pump on a 302? and should the sealant go on both gaskets front and back?

I have looked at Ultra Blue, Black, Gray, etc. they all make me confused. Just want to put the water pump on the first time - the correct time w/no leaks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please help unconfuse me!

I use ultra copper,smear it on both sides just to make sure,unless the pump is shot it shouldn't leak.

I used ultrablue and it worked fine for my new pump.

any of those will work for that application,a lot of times it comes down to personal preference , and the key is making sure all old gasket material is removed ,good luck,bob
