E4OD Transmission Problem

1993 F-150 has the E4OD trans shifting into neutral while driving. It just goes into nuetral once in a while and won't shift right if I start from a stop. The problem goes away the next day, and will start up again some time in the future. Trans was rebuilt within the last year. The problem accured before I had it rebuilt, and is still happenning, once in a while. Electronics on the trans were replaced by the trans guy, and he said everthing is fine. There are no codes. I'm thinking that the fluid has got to be replaced again. Maybe there is something that gets sucked up by the pump every now and then. Just seems strange since it was just replaced a short time ago. Dealer has no clue. Tough to troubleshoot when the problem is never there when you take it for repair.

Welcome to the site!

Try a search for "MLPS" in the tranny forum and see if the symptoms match yours. I believe there are also some diagnostic instructions if you would like to test it yourself.
