I was trying to remove my fuel filter on a 99 Ranger with the 3.0L and I think I might have trashed my fuel line. The local parts store did not have the tool so I tried to make one. Now the filter does not fit tightly on the line. Could it be a missing o-ring or am I looking at replacing the fuel line. If it is the fuel line, how difficult of a job is that? Thanks!
i bought one from the dealership backhome in canada last summer. maybe it's a liability issue here or something. a fuel line from the dealer is going to cost you. a salvage yard might have one. the aftermarket might have some kit to fix it. worth lookin into.
