transmission id?
a guy has a for transmission for sale and i dont know what kind it is. id like to find out so i can see if i want to buy it. the number on the side is RF-E5TR-7006-AA
can anyone decipher this?

Sounds like an SROD, TOD or an M5OD depending on where the shift tower is located

it has the shifter going in in sort of offset to the side, unlike the old 4speed granny gear tranny where it goes down right in the center.
what exactly is a TOD??
sorry for all the questions i just dont know that much about transmissions
by the way, i do remeber that it had the ford logo made onto the case
