ford have had lock out/manual transer case option until 1996 on the 150 and 97 on the 2/350s...IMO its one of the best options to have, i have personally seen electric shift transer cases and auto hubs fail when needed most...cant really break a lock out hub and manual shift t-case (well not the average person 
)

Actually, Ford still has a manual t-case & lockout hub option on the superduties. Half-tons have the option of a lever t-case, but use CAD to engage the frontend. Most dealers don't order them this way, more than likely to make a little more money on the sale and on repairs down the road.
