Best place for new differentials?
I have an open differential and want to convert to limited slip. I am from the mustang community and know all about trac locks and the clutches wearing out and the auburns burning out and not carrying a warranty. I was thinking about a trutrac diff and need to know where to get one for the best price and also if they are available w/ gears already installed in them. Is there anything else I need to do to convert to LS other than the new centersection?

Well based on what the site had to say, there is no trutrac offered for a 8.8 rearend, just the 9". Is this true? I was thinking of the eaton LS unit, most mustang owners that have it love it. I do want a rebuildable unit like the eaton or motorsport trac lok.

How to I tell if I have 31 or 28 spline axles? Are these available w/ gears already installed in them? I have a 94 F150 4x4 XLT 5.0 E4OD w/ a factory trailer hitch, but no tranny cooler. Its an 8.8 rear w/ a 10 bolt cover, identical to a mustang rear end. The axle code is for a 3.55 open differential rear on the vin tag.
