351 gas mileage

351 gas mileage

just wandering if anyone has a f250 2wd auto with the 351 what kind of gas ileage to expect in the summertime. www.fueleconomy.gov says 13-17 but i dont know how credible that is. thanks

I have an '88 bronco with the 351. if i stay out of the gas and just cruise. i get about 13 mpg on the highway at 75. in town forget it it more around 5-9.

Look under "fuel injection, carb, ..." , there is a thread where there are lots of gas mileage stories, including my own. I think it is 460 v.s. 351 in mileage.
