2002 F-250 SD CC subs help!?
Thanks
Jasontrucks
driver to produce those frequencies--at anaudible level
12" woofers are likely ur best best
15"woofers if you want some real deep grunt
10" woofers in a prolperly tuned setup will sound OK
I have not done any crew cab installs yet--so I cant direct
to the best enclosure or location etc...
But I would consider checking out a custom built sub enclosure
you will likely be happier with the end product
Decide how much boom you want--then go from there

I am looking for something to drop in without any Mods. I dont keep the trucks too long and I haul 3 kids around in the CC
so Im not shure the console will work but thank you for the suggestions!
Do you know the brand of the box? Or where you got it? I have a couple of local shops as well as a Best buy and Rex. I have removed the storage tray and tried a couple of diff. boxes but the seat back will not go up rite with the ones Ive tried
You have given me some hope
THANKS!!Jasontrucks76

I got a '03 CC, and I put 2 10's in a custom box that I made. Cost me about 30$ and took me about 4 hours to make. The sound is just right, I'll never break anybody's windows but it is pretty loud. And the sound quality is amazing! It's like night and day pictures

Did you put a divider in the middle of the box or are bolth subs using the same air space? I think Im going to start building one this week end! I have been looking at the space and now I know it can be done
Also would you mind sharing a little more info with me? Like What you are running for an amp and the dimensions of the box. also I couldnt tell from the pics but did you have to cut the molded plastic behind the box so it would fit? I am running bolth door speakers and the rear speakers on a four chanel amp I have the 5x9s on one chanel and the two subs bridged on the other. The amp is a Rockfor 600a4 and puts out aroud 700wats. this seems to work nice. Thanks

1. no, I didn't put a divider in the box, so its the same air space. When I asked if I should I got mixed answers, mainly they said that it helps for support.
2. the dimensions are on my pics if you can zoom in enough, but basically it's a wedge 9" on the bottom, 3" on top, 17" tall and 36" long. Made it out 5/8" MDF and internal volume came out to a hair over 1.5 cu. ft.
3. I did have to cut that molded piece a little bit to make the box fit.
4. I'm running 2 Jl audio 10" with 4 ohm coils in parallel for a 2 ohm load with an Alpine amp that puts out 350w. And four Infinity 5X7's on another Alpine putting out 500w...they sound soooo sweeet!!
If I had to make the box again, I would shorten the 9" dimension to 8" 'cause my seat barely locks back
I just bought a 04 CC F250
I'm guessing that the interior is the exact same on these years?
Also what JL's are you running the 10W6 or the 10W3'S
And where are you located? I would like to have you build me a box
BTW, I'm over here way down in Texas...near Houston.

Congrats on your new truck!!
Instrument and v-104me I built the box on sat and installed 2 W/O JL audio 10" and man do they rock
I have always run the rockford sub but Im sold on JL
I used your blue print off your pics instrument and took your advise on the 9" demension but I took it to 8 1/2 inces and in hind site Im glad because with the subs mounted 3" from the bottom their was just enough room to the back of the box. I did cut out the plastic molding around the box and added speaker grills and it fits perfect
Thank you guys for your imput this site rocks!! and so does my truck now!!! Take care
and Instrument Tech the check is in the mail for the blue print
