stock tire sizes?
i dont have any sort of lift so it sits kind of low. i want to put some 15x8 rims on the truck so if anyone could tell me what would be the max size tire it would help me out alot.
also i only understand the tire sizes in like 33x12.50-15 format the other format confuses the hell outta me.
also it is ok if the tires run a little but not alot. =)
Thx in advance!
also if your wondering what tires im gonna want its the super swamper thornbirds on 15x8 rims. i just need to know the tire sizes because i bought the truck with no tires
Thx guys!
No? It's OK. I have no idea what that means either.
Understanding modern day sizing is fairly straight forward. We'll use a 215/60/15 for an example.
Broken down, it goes like this:
215= tread width in millimeters
60= aspect ratio, commonly known as sidewall height. In this case the sidewall height is 60% of the tread width. So with the same given tread width, a 70 series would be taller, a 50 series would be shorter.
15= wheel size
Make sense? Those are the basics without complicating it with speed ratings and traction ratings. Hopefully this helps you select a tire to your liking.
I'm curious. Why do you want to run thornbirds on a 2wd? Just wondering.....
