Heater Motor

my heater blower motor starting squelling- that lasted for about three days and now it only works on high speed any ideas ??

Bad bearings? Along with the bad bearings probably comes enough friction to keep the motor from turning at the lower power settings. New motor shouldn't be more than $15-20.

If it only works at High speed then your blower motor resistor is shot...If you look under the hood, there should be a wire that connects to the motor and then a wire that connects to a 3 prong blower motor resistor on your HVAC housing under the hood. I would get a replacement from a Junkyard as I don't think you can get that new, well maybe from Ford.

Sounds like you will need a new Blower motor too... I replaced mine recently and it was $22.
