Axle gears ???

Hello, I just purchased a 1993 F250 S/C Diesel with Automatic. The axle number on the sticker on the door jam is "35". Can anyone tell me what ratio this axle is?

Thanks,
Andy at Fort Hood

Looks like 4.10 without limited slip. Here's the decoder article:

Thanks, Sure does not act like a 4:10 rear end. Engine turns 2000 RPM's at 65MPH. My 88 turned well over 2600 at 65. The only difference being the 4 speed tranny (93) instead of a 3 speed (88).

Thanks again, Andy at Fort Hood, Texas

in my f-250 with 4.10s i run 2300 at 65 in OD, in 4th gear (1:1) its turning 3000 RPMs. tires are stock 235/85/R16, so basically 31's.

My 93 F250 runs right on 2000 RPM's at 65 MPH in OD. The tag on the door piller says 35 which according to the listing shown at the link above says the gears are 4:10. Sure does not seem correct with the large difference between yours and mine. I do not know what to think. I have looked at the tag on the differential but it does not state the ration as most Ford diffs do.

Thanks for all of your help.

do f250's have a 9" rear end or is it a 10.25. Some have 8.8 some 10.25 depends on the gvw of the truck.
