Thoughts On a Build Date
Hey guys, I just cringed when I looked at the calendar, did a double take and realized that my truck is not only being built on a Monday but April Fools Monday
I talked with a buddy of mine that works for PenDot and he tells me they have a lot of Fords in their fleets and when they order they tell Ford that they don't want any vehicle built on a Mon or Fri:-staun :-staun What's yer thoughts on this. Is there something I could, or should do bout this?

Don't worry.
They are going to build it when it's number is up.I would give or take a day as far as schedule is concerned.They may be running ahead or behind schedule.I don't think the Mon.and Fri.thing is really an issue.If you break it down just think of all the operations that lead up to a vehicle being assembled.All of the different machining operations involved in making the engines,axles,transmissions,etc..It will drive you bonkers if you worry about every process involved in producing a vehicle.You may heve a Wed.engine a Sat.axle,etc...
Just enjoy it when you get it.
Chances are you won't have any quality concerns.
I put forth the same quality effort at work every day no matter which day of the week it is.
Oh yea,come to think of it I am an auto worker and work at one of Uncle Henry's plants.
