hey guys,
thanks to info from this forum I have found the root of my idle problem to be the IAC. It should arrive no later than this friday, so what can be expected form this install? Looks like I just remove the two bolts and disconnect the sensor to take out the old one. Is there anything extra I should be aware about, i.e. weird engine stuff, battery, etc. The IAC is on the left side of the throttle body.

The gasket should come with the part. What you may want to consider when you do this is to take the throttle body off and clean it real good with throttle body cleaner. Don't use carb or any other cleaner because it can take the coating off the TB. It made a big difference when I did it on mine. If you do take the TB off, it may be a good time for you to replace your throttle position sensor if you have a few extra $$. It costs about $30. from the Zone.
whew, thats a load off. i don't have a lot of extra dough to spend on unexpected parts. now i can concentrate on the task at hand: improving my Bronco instead of fixing broken stuff. this is the last broken thing on the list of crappy broken stuff. thanks guys. -wb
