Heating problem - '97 F-150

I have a '97 F-150 4.6l 4x4 and since tuesday morning I have been getting no heat. I live in Wisconsin and I am used to getting into my vehicle and having it cold for a few minutes, not the whole trip. The thermostat opens, the antifreeze is good. I saw on this site that the blend door could be malfunctioning. Will the fix I found in the heating and cooling section work for my truck?

Also I was checking over the truck and checked the air filter and fluids and everything this morning and now it runs with a stutter and wants to die at idle. I'm not sure if a sensor got damaged while checking the air filter (don't think so), or if something came loose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine did this last year. Accidentally, I found that turning the heat down from full tilt did the trick. Don't know why it worked for me, but try it.....

You might check the sensors that are plubbed into the intake tube.

I would guess that your heat door is malfuntioning!
