Ya know in Screws and Scabs... in the back seat, on top of the back rest, in the middle, just in front ot the window... there's a little strap? WHAT THE @#(&^@# is that?
It is to keep the seat from tipping forward in a collision.
A strap on the child seat goes in it.
Most all cars have them.
There should be three straps. Left, center and right.
Before I installed JR.'S car seat in the back of my Supercrew I had to consult the owners manual myself. The seat worked great once it was properly in place. Funny what you can learn in that Manual.

If you don't have small childern, and don't plan on using a child safety seat in your truck.....you can do the following to "hide" those ugly looking straps:
1) Take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull open the staple that goes thru the black plastic sleeve that is slipped over each strap.
2) Pull the staple out of the black plastic sleeve on each strap.
3) Slide the sleeve off of each strap.
4) Tuck each strap down behind the top of the seatback.
Should you ever have to install a child safety seat, simpy pull up the appropriate strap and install the seat according to the instructions in the owner's manual......
