Indicator Light?

Indicator Light?
I was taking the CB out of my truck, it came with the truck, and I found what looks light a indicatoe light of some sort. It's wired like its from the factory and its Ford stamped. I was thinking maybe the 4wd indicator light. Is that what it is?

Was it clipped in somewhere or just hanging under the dash? Does it go on when you turn the lights on?
I'd put a bulb in it (if you didn't already) and see what makes it go on.
My first guess is that it's for the ashtray. I don't know if the 79 had a 4wd indicator. Mine doesn't that I know of.

Some 78-78 full time 4x4s had a light that mounted to the bottom of the dash, below the ashtray. It lit up "LOCK" when in 4x4. It's a rectangle light - about 2" long. That might be what you found.
