I've got an 01, but that sounds about right to me with 3.73s, 17" wheels (and stock tires) and the same engine/tranny that you have. Roughly the same MPG too.
I have the same setup w/ my '00, and if the onboard computer isn't lying, I'm getting the same highway MPG too. (70 MPH +/-, 2K RPMs, 15.something MPG)
Lightly loaded with no headwind, on the flat starting will full tank of gas I usually get: 65 mph equal 17 mpg, 70 mph equals 16 mpg. 75 to 80 mph equals 15 mpg. 85 mph equals 14 mpg.
I'll let you know what happens after getting back next week on my trip starting tomorrow. Leaving Dallas-Fort Worth area heading for Sedona, AZ. Winter weather most of the way will keep speeds down, so good mileage should not be a problem.
With a full tank and 2 passangers @ 70 mph I average 15mpg, @ 65mph avg about 16. Normal City/Hwy avg. 12mpg+/-. With the boat in tow and 7 pasengers about 8-9 mpg.
