Hey guys,
I recently had me carb feezing up on me so i put the stock air cleaner back on according to the advice i recieved here. Problem solved. But imediately after i noticed an exteme loss of power and in the last couple of days i noticed that the throttle return feels really weak and alltogether wierd. the only thing i touched in the engine compartment was the air cleaner i left everything else alone. Anyone have an idea as to what happened?
thanks
David
oh yeah its a 77 f150 C6 witha 400 and teh return spings were replaced a few months ago
I dont believe the linkage is dragging. there is a spacer ring between the carba and the air cleaner. here is th eoriginal link sorry i didnt post in it. http://www.fordtrucks.com/forums/sho...hreadid=198493

was wondering if there isa way to keep the carb from freezing with out the stock air cleaner. The reason i ask is cause the stock cleaner really suck the power and it causes that throttle return to fel wird. I put the open elemnet of today and the engine came alive and the throttle felt normal again.
any suggestoions?
Thanks
David
