Fellow Canadians!

once again as the weather warms up and car work resumes..an age old peeve returns...

Why are philips screw still around??? an engineering mistake if I ever saw one. especially in the rust belt.

These things used to be almost extinct here but are cropping up more and more as the local hardware market becomes "home (US) depotized"..(which appears to be kicking the pants off the local Canadian Tire).

The Philips is clearly an inferior fastner. The robertson (or "square) is a much superior fastner..and a Canadian invention to boot!

My old chev has clutch head screws- it looks like the manufacturers were heading in the right direction years ago but lost it..

is the philips still around (and more popular than the robertson) due to sheer stubborness?

or is a larger issue at play here? beware Canadians...we're getting Crispy Kreme donuts here...and Boston Pizza..and New York Fries...and Miller light..and...oh oh ..

I too feel your pain. I am forever rounding the edges on my screwdrivers. But still the Philips screws don't get me hot under the collar as slotted screws do. Slotted screws are the worst type fastener going!!!!!!!!

Fellow Canadians!

I've never had a Krisp Kreme donut..Are they that good??

This is going to be interesting..

TIm Hortons (Canadian Champ) agianst Krispy Kreme (US contender)!!!

Shades of Tyson..

Someone's gonna get spanked..There are 6 Tim Hortons within 5 minutes of where I work alone! No holes left in these markets!

In Canada donuts are king..or an institution...sorta like the beaver..we lose that..I'm throwin in the towel and headin south

Hellooooo Palm Springs!!
