Weird Steering

I did a 79 bronco axle in the front of my 95 150 and used older flat top knuckles from a 44hd so i could match it up for my 8 lug rear. Now when I turn, I have to move the wheel quite a bit to make the truck turn, meaning 1/4 to 1/2 turn to make long sweeping corners. My question is kinda 2 parts. Since the arm on the knuckle is longer where the tie rod goes in, it obviously needs to move more distance to turn the same angle. I was wondering if there is a difference between f150/bronco sterring box compared to a 250/350 on the 95 style trucks. It would seem like a d50/60 would also have the longer steering arm on the front of the knuckle to keep the tie rod from hitting the diff... I either need to get a gear box with a different ratio or find something else to fix it, and mine had 145k on it, so its not a bad time to replace it. Its not bad off road, had nice slow turning, but at high speed its sloppy. I just want it to drive a little more normal again. Thanks for any help.
