dono, are u going to the dark side?

i just plain dont like non american cars period mabye some of the actual fast cars but not the econemy cars and if the muffle would fall of on a american 6 cyl, like a taurus it wouldnt sound anything like those, and there just show, new age, new trend, u throw 10 grand in one of those, then throw 10 grand in a crown vic.

BTW a 9 sec 1/8 translates in to a 12/13 1/4 time, dpending on top end, which is what these rices have got guys.. thought you should know. not bad I must say actually, at most a high 13/low 14, still a respectable time not withstanding that a american car can do that with jsut a few bucks, we saw a 5.4 with less than 1k i mods run a 14.8

I agree....I am a die hard ford fan, I have my truck and an 89 mustang gt vert that is my baby, and plan on buying a gen II SHO taurus for a daily driver, but my brother is into hondas and he had a del sol that had a DOHC prelude motor in it and a supercharger......were talking 11 second car guys.....blew my mustang out of the water and Im not kidding, a fast car is a fast car, no matter the manufacturer, and that was a fast car, to agree with your guys' point though, most ricers are high school kids with a civic and a coffe can muffler that think they're cool.......sad but true

My uncle has a 2000 Dodge ram 2500 4X4 cummins automatic, with an extended cab and long bed. He was towing my cousins 95 Z28 when a rice boy in an early 90's accord wanted to race. The truck beat the car easily. That was cool.

I don't have a problem with the cars other than they have an annoying sound but the whole attitude some of these idiots have just makes me want to run their cars over with my dad's 85 F250 4x4 44 boggers 500hp just to show them whose the boss.

ive raced em a few times in my buick, usually beat em...but anyways, that show was a joke, me and my friend watched it and laughed the entire time, ok 1. neither of em even broke 90. 2. they do most of the stuff for looks and sound, and dont upgrade anyhting important...like when that axle broke after the second run.
i saw a thread abt this on another forum, and this guy had some good stuff:

Quote from Will938
stupid statements:

"The 1/8 mile is just a little shorter than the 1/4 mile."

"An AWD car can beat a FWD car with 1/2 the power."

"She could of had him with a little more practice."

"You get twice the power with DOHC."

what is yours? my dads is a 98 regal LS, K&N, gutted air box. I'd like for it to be a GS (intake, exhaust, and blower pully, low 14s)

my stock, tired 73 f250, weighing in at about 4000 lbs(probably more with me, i am no skinny minny) with a 460, C6, 3.73 limited slip and edelbrock 750 clocked off a 15.9 in the 1/4( i think i had a really good day, but hey, still got it) with no nitrous, no bleach for the burnout and no money out of my pocket except what i paid for the truck and the gasket set i put on it because it is a ford and marks its territory pretty regularly.
