need junk auto-locking hubs
I know with all you guys bumming on auto-lockers that someone must have some old ones they wanna get rid of. I love my E4OD with auto-locking hubs and want to keep em, but I ruined one this winter when I got OOC trying to get out of some snow-over-ice. Ford no longer carries individual parts to repair them so I'll try the junk-parts bin. I know they make a redesigned assembly, but I'm not interested in replacing the whole assembly for $320. I desperately (sp) need one good clutch spring from a hub. HELP ANYONE???

Thanks for responding. I just finished installing the replacement spring. Some guy around the corner had three pair of junk hubs and one had a good spring. Everything works great again!! Thanks.

Hey fordsman,I also have F150 with auto lockers .Can we replace these with some beefy manual loking hubs like WARN hubs.I dont know what type of trans it has its not a AO4D it says metric on the pan.Stays in gears longer than a AO4D.

Your auto-lockers can be replaced with manual hubs. See your local parts guy (Not the dealer). It may need an additional adapter kit but you should be able to do both sides for well under $100 total..
