I have been trying to get rid of that annoying premature "bleed off" (not the medical kind) from my turbo that kills a lot of the power and get up and go. I have been told:
1. Replace the stock waste gate with a Banks one which will increase the bleed off presure.
OR
2. Remove the waste gate and use a bolt to plug the shaft opening in the housing, thus no bleed off at all.
Any suggestions. I am running a 1999 7.3 TD with a 75 HP Chip, 4 inch (cat-back exhaust) and K&N Air filter.
Also, I have a 3.5 inch downpipe from Banks. Is it worth the swap out? I mean will I notice a difference or just cut knuckles?
