custom exhaust

I am wanting to cut all my exhaust(3 1/2") off my psd and stick 5' flex from the turbo down and 6" pipe back past the cab. Does anyone have good reason not to or maybe any suggestions.

I personally would not use flex pipe, you are risking the chance of it moving and vibrating against the firewall. Unless you have an engine pushing out some serious hp, I see no reason going any bigger than an 4" exhaust. The only benefit would be strictly for looks. If you go the route you want, it will be custom and I am sure very expensive. Most places are not capable of bending something that large.

bender97f250 is right- unless you're putting down more than 450rwhp, 4" exhaust is all you need. It might not be what you want, but it's all you need. I, too, would advise against flex pipe, for the same reasons he stated.
5" pipe is fairly easy to get, and tailpipes are also available in that diameter, so you could do it fairly easily using aluminized pipe. I think you'd be happier with the finished product that way.
