Heating problem on 1998 B4000

Heating problem on 1998 B4000
Just looking for any input on a problem.
Recently my temperature gauge has been going up to the danger zone. The only way I can stop it is to turn my heater on full board. This causes the temp gauge to stay in the middle. The other symptom I have is that the heat coming out of my vents is hotter than normal.
I have plenty of coolant, no leaks, and the fan works fine.
I think the thermostat is stuck and needs to be replaced.
Has anyone else had this problem?
