I have a few quick questions, IM going to buy headers for my 4.0 I found JBA ($700) and pace setters ($350) can anyone tell me why I shouldnt go with the pace setters? do they make underdrive pulleys for the OHV 4.0 I can only find them for the 3.0 and the SOHC 4.0, and my last one is are there any companies that make superchargers for the OHV 4.0 besides BBK they have the only kit that I was able to find, if I have to Ill buy a BBK, but I would rather buy some other kit that I know people who are running them
I don't know anything about Pacesetters, so I can't help you there. I have run JBA headers, and I do like their products. Their facilities are here in San Diego and they're pretty cool people. They've also been around for quite a while. I think you can get JBA headers for substantially less than that though. You may have been looking at powdercoated or ceramic coated ones. I've checked on the standard chrome ones for the same truck and it was less than $400. Since (at least on my truck), there are cats in the Y pipe, there's no Y pipe included w/ the set. No problem, cats really aren't restrictive like they used to be, and the factory pipe is stainless.
Let me know about superchargers if you find anything for the 4.0 OHV. I searched all over the place & came up with nothing short of universal kits & a lot of custom fabbing. I did pick up a 66mm BBK throttle body though, and plan to add a Granetelli MAF sensor in the future as well. You may want to check on those, combined with the headers, before worrying about forced induction.

the only blower I have found for a 4.0 OHV is a BBK, there is a ranger blower kit, then you buy a year speciffic install kit, the JBA headers I was looking at were ceramic coated, thats why they were so expensive, and Kat, its been at least a year since Ive looked at any of that stuff, so I dont remember who had the SOHC pulleys, if I find it in my favorites Ill post a link here
