"PICK UP POPS"
I ran across this article in the Atlanta Journal Constipation (AJC) written by Cynthia Tucker. The following are some of the excerpts from the article. I will also post the link.
First you lined up with Gramm to support President Bush's massive tax cut for the rich. Then you joined with Gramm to defeat legislation that would have required greater fuel efficiency in cars and trucks, helping to reduce U.S. dependence on Middle East oil.
In a galling display of your own hypocrisy, you took to the well of the Senate to defend the pickup truck and its working-class aficionados from what you claimed would be the increased costs of newer pickup trucks with better gas mileage.
You know perfectly well that a sizable portion of the pickup trucks bought in America today are sold to men and women who wouldn't recognize pork outside a McDonald's sausage biscuit. You also forgot to mention that your beloved "pickup pops" would save money over time, since they'd have to purchase less gasoline if their trucks were more fuel efficient.

This was 4/3/02. I have written her and AJC and told them what a clown she is and expressed my opinion. I think all truck owners especially us real truck owners should swamp her with responses.
That every "your a clown/idiot/tree-hugger/wouldn't-know-a-truck-from-a-VW/whatever" message usually gets discarded and has little affect or is later turned around and used like: "See? These guys/gals that drive trucks are just a bunch of hot-heads/idiots/clowns/whatever"
Just a little friendly advice. Take it for what it is worth. Money back guarantee available.
