Converted MY '85 F150 To Duraspark II...Have Arizona Emissions Questions

I converted my carbed electronic feedback ignition system down to the Duraspark 2. Can anyone give me some tips on what I may need to do to get this truck to pass the smog tests? The truck isn't due until 10/2004. It has a new catalytic converter. Looks like I may need to install a vacuum operated Ported Vacuum Switch(PVS) on the heater hose outlet on the water pump. This would replace the electronic gizmo on the heater hose outlet of the water pump, that has a wire going to a 4 port electronic thing on the valve cover, with plastic vacuum hoses connected to it. The PVS would control vacuum to the EGR valve, as well as switch between ported and manifold vacuum, depending on engine temperature. Am I on the right track? Thanks in advance for your help on this.

My best guess is to put the same question in this forum, and check it daily.
