Question 351 2v intakes

I recently aquired a 74 351 2v That I am planning on putting in my 64 F100. I am not very familiar with this series engine, my question is, will any 351 intake fit on this motor? I ask this becuase in some of the parts catalogs they list an intake for this specific application. Any help would be appreciated.

If your engine is a 351C and not a 351M then there are two styles of intake; intakes for the 2V heads and intakes for the 4V heads. The ports are quite different from the 2V to the 4V heads.

Look for intakes for the 2V heads.

I recommend getting the Australian iron 4V intake (it has 2V port sizes). A guy named Phil in Portland sells them. If you want his email address, I can get it for you. Price is less than $100, depending on your negotiating skills. There are two types; spreadbore that fits the Chevy Rochester spreadbore pattern, and square bore like the typical Holley 600 list 1850.

Just so you know, Holley sells spreadbore carbs, too.

if your are talking about a 351c 2v then yes you have lots of choices (no the aftermarket is not selling you a manifold for use with a 2v carb but one that will fit on the heads from a original 2v motor to convert it to 4v, you can use 4v manifolds with the 2v heads)you can go from mild such as the origanal cast iron 4barrel manifold for 2v heads from australia (these actually origanally came from 302c but will bolt onto a 351c 2v) then the typical alum such as a preformer up to wild manifolds such as a parker funnelweb (looks kinda like a victor) which is what I have for mine. personally I wouldn't go with the cast iron intakes as they are all for spreadbores that I have seen, and I really just don't like running chebbie carbs on my ford

As it turns out, Phil in Portland has one of these intakes up for auction -

He's a good guy, honest and fair. This is a pretty cool intake for a Cleveland.

Hey guys I appreciate the feedback. I have found an intake at a local wrecking yard and was wondering if it would fit, the # is DOAE-9425-L, it is on what seems to be a 70-71 Mercury. Also anyone know what size valves are in the 2v heads. Thanks Again!!

2.04 int/1.62 exh, but you can cut them to put in the 4v bigger vakves if you wanted to I went to 2.07/1.65, and it didn't take anymore work than putting in stock valves, and bought stainless for around 140
As far as that intake is it a 4v intake because if it is then it probably won't fit on a 2v motor

the 4bbl intake will work on the 2v heads but there is a hugh port mismatch.i put one on years ago.you should go with the edelbrock performer or the aussie intake for a nice running engine.i wouldn,t change to bigger valves.your heads are good for street use as they are.
