I have a 9" rear out of a 1970 F-100 that I had rebuilt for my 1955 F-100. Can anyone tell me if the brake line T-block and vent from my original rear, will fit into the 9" rear housing? If so, how does it install? Thread in etc.? My 9" housing has the hole for the vent/T-block but there are no threads in the hole. Possibly the original is broken off in the hole. Also, where can you buy the new vent which actually holds the T-block to the housing? I've seen the T-blocks adverstised but not the vent. THANKS

The vents usually are threaded. Try NAPA or one of the other national auto parts stores. They carry these items. As far as the thread size being the same on both rear housings is hard to say. Probably be best to tell NAPA you have the '70 rearend and see what their parts book says. They usually have an illustration you can compare the old part to.
