Parking Brake Adjusment?
I have a 1997 Explorer 4x4, when you set the parking brake it doesn't hold the vehicle. Can someone tell me where to and how to adjust the parking brake?

If it's like my 96, the rear discs have a drum built in with brake shoes for the parking brake. There is a slot with a rubber plug on the backing plate. Pull the plug out and there is a star wheel in there you can turn with a screwdriver to adjust the parking brake, just like a regular drum brake. Might also be an adjuster in the cable under the truck. I'm not sure, I've never looked.
