VOPC System Question
When calling the VOPC to check status on a vehicle, is there any way around the dealer code? I have a 4x4 XLT Screw ordered as a fleet vehicle through an outside leasing company. I have all of the info on the truck as far as order number, VIN, etc. but I have no dealer code to access the system with. Do I need to use the code of the dealer that the truck is being shipped to, or could I use any dealer code to gain access?

I appreciate the link to the other thread, but I believe we're talking about two different things. The VOPC is a voice prompted telephone system that will allow one to track the status of the vehicle through the production process by giving the VIN, Order Number, Dealer Code, etc. The dealer code is the information that I don't have. I don't know if this is supposed to be accessible by the end user or just by the dealers. Seems like it would be too easy to give this information to the end user...the phone lines would probably be jammed.
