Upgrading the front rotors (don't forget your calipers too) will be nice & painless, but switching out the rears will be a bit of a bear.
I know some of the F100/150 boys have done it, but almost everyone forgets something (like the parking brake modification).
I would love to hear how you get on, because my brakes are crap.
yeah, down shifting works, but the clutch complains a little! i saw a magazine ad with a kit for the conversion that was complete, but i can't remember the mag or company. (good thing i can remember to downshift!)
Is there a link you could post to that site?
Am wondering if it could fit them to my rears, becuase my rear brakes only seem to come on when I'm about stopped.
(and I've changed all the rear hardware, cylinders, springs, "auto" adjusters, shoes & even the drums.)
I'm going to jump in and ask I"m looking for different rotors for my E350. Had them turned a couple of times becouse of them worping. The dealer told me it was becouse I needed rear brakes. I know it was from my travel trailer (the factory over greased the wheel bearings and the brake shoes got covered w/ grease.) I am thinking about a rotor that vented but don"t know where to find some. Can any one help. Thanks
