79 headlight Replacement recommendations?

79 head light recomendations?
Last night the local officer of the law informed me that I was one light short of a full pair, so it is time for a new set. I want some that are brighter than stock. I know there are several out there that are hyped up to be better. Let me know what you run in yours.

Im going to run the new Hot ones in my existing Crystal Housings, I think they are called Silver Stars?? They are pricey (Like 40 Bucks) for just the bulbs. Then Im going to Run them off of Relays so they have Full Battery Power.

Mil1ion, I assume the Bosch lights are a direct replacement for stock? I'm not shure I understand what you mean about the pattern???
fear, are the Hella convirsions a seperate bulb and housing? I'd be happy to spend $75 IF it lights up the road!!

Yes, direct drop-in replacement.
By pattern look at these.
some lights have a bowtie shaped pattern of where the illumination goes & wastes candlepower.
ie: >----< >----<
The bosch pattern uses the half bowtie pattern to eases the light for on-coming traffic from glare.A much more efficient pattern
