you know where the vent is by the door why does the water have to come though there i have a 1965 ford f250 with a 352 and where the door is is rust and water comes though i unglogged it but its rusted though any one have the same problem
Came across same problem. Fortunately, not rusted thru. Seems what ever gets trapped in the cowl vent eventually ends up in these pockets and blocking the drain holes. Limited access. i flushed w/ metal ready, or metal etch, vac'd, use air gun to dry, sprayed entire area, as best as one can, with zero rust paint, then undercoat. Opened and enlarged all cab drain holes.
Another problem area is back side of cab. The drain holes are on bottom edge where bed meets cab. Same treatment, focus on opening drain holes.
In my case, these area's where close but not rusted through requiring patch weld. If not structual, heard por 15 makes a patch kit for simular situations. May want to go to there web site for description, may help in making decision.
Suggest posting in "paint and bodywork" forum, topic comes up often.
Anyhow, my $.02
good luck,
dave
