Angry Ice.....slip.....bang.....roll.....

Well, I wrecked the ranger the other day. Hit some ice...and rolled the truck. major damage to the driver's side and the cab. Its a loss. Good news is....Engine still works....interrior is in good shape. I just won't be able to fix it. The only thing that is really wrong with it is the driver's side body.

I'm not sure if I just want to sell it to a junk yard or try and part it out.

what do you guys think?
it was a '94 XLT 3.0 4x4.

I think I can get more than the 2 or 3 hundred that a junk yard will offer for it. I'm just not sure I'll be able to sell all the parts to make it worth it.

Know anyone who needs parts for their ranger?

Anyone have experience parting out a ranger? Any suggestions/tips?

Thanks
ps. I'm going to buy another one this weekend.......

Sorry to hear about the accident.

You probably can get a good amount for interior parts. Check Ebay for prices. The real problem is that you'll end up bringing the chassis to the junkyard anyway and paying them once you've sold off all the good stuff.

If you want a '98 3.0 in good condition, gimme a call.

I'm actually going to go and look at a '98 4.0 supercab today. $7k. I think he is willing to go down.

I picked up that '94 in 2000 for $6100 put almost 70k miles on it. It never left me stranded...never had anything serious wrong with it. It was definately a good truck.

You should take some pictures of the interior and exterior, and post them up.

Really sorry to hear about that, glad you are OK. Please use use classified section if you end up parting it out, ads are not allowed in the forums.

hmm.... wonder if the door panels would fit my 91?? Looks like the dash would, and its all the right colors.... i think you should part it out However, in all honesty, if you did part it out, you may just end up getting stuck w/ the chassis and what's left of the body. Tough call. Let us know if you will be posting in the classified section (i think this is an okay statement for the forum?? is it Ken??). One thing is for sure, I am certainly glad to see that the 'ol Ranger held up so well, it sure didnt seem to crush the top of the cab all that much (atleast not enough that it would strike you, hopefully anyways). Good luck man. If you decide to part it out, check out ebay man, and see what you think you could get. Later.

I' think I've decided to part it out. I'm going to make an inventory and post most on ebay. I've already got some classifieds goin'(not mentioning where, might not be allowed). I do know that there is a place not too far from here that buys scrap metal. I think I'll be able to make money of the chassis....If not...I'll still get more than the $200 the junk yards were offering.

Go to settings, edit options and unhide your email addy, let me know if you still have a problem. Just an FYI, no one can see your email addy with it not hidden, they will only get it if you reply to them.
